My article, “AIDS Video: To Dream and Dance with the Censor” has been recently published at Jump Cut.
I had been asked to speak about the history of AIDS video as part of the Fowler Museum’s 2008 “Make Art/Stop AIDS” show. After they censored the work of Brenton Maart, a gay man of mixed racial heritage, the concerns of my writing changed.
